Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 receives double accolade from PC World.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus, Kaspersky Lab’s flagship personal anti-virus solution that protects against viruses, Trojans, spyware, rootkits and other malicious programs, has received a double accolade from PC World, one of the world’s most influential and trusted computer magazines. The product was named the ‘Best Buy’ in a review of leading anti-virus solutions; and has been cited by the magazine as one of the ‘100 Best Products of 2007’.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus landed the coveted ‘Best Buy’ award following a comparative review with seven other leading anti-virus applications. Testing was conducted on the Microsoft Vista operating system, and in conjunction with AV-Test GmbH, a respected independent anti-virus testing organization.
The review states: “Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 shines for its top-notch malware detection and disinfection rates.” Reviewers also noted that the product is “the fastest at delivering new signatures out of the eight tested programs, with an average response time of 0 to 2 hours.”
The commanding performance by Kaspersky Anti-Virus prompted PC World to declare it one of the ‘100 Best Products of 2007’. Kaspersky Anti-Virus found itself in impressive company, rubbing shoulders with such technology giants as Apple iPod, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. PC World says of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0’s placing: “PC security is as important as ever, and Kaspersky's fast response to outbreaks makes this a first-rate tool for locking down your PC.”
