Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, has achieved an Open Platform for Security (OPSEC™) certificate from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd (NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet. Kaspersky Lab was awarded the certificate for its Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Check Point VPN-1® Next Generation™ software product. The certification signals greater integration between Kaspersky Lab solutions and Check Point software products.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Check Point VPN-1 provides the highest level of protection possible for corporate networks against malicious programs. It monitors files transferred using HTTP, FTP and SMTP protocols.

Integration between Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Check Point VPN-1 is seamless because they both use the CVP protocol, developed by Check Point. Therefore, a combination of Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Check Point VPN-1 provides complete protection of the corporate network perimeter.

Says Veniamin Levtsov, Kaspersky Lab Products Director: “Our company’s experts are convinced that using an antivirus solution in combination with a firewall significantly increases the security level for the entire network. This is why we felt we had to develop a solution for Check Point Firewall, which is one of the most popular firewall solutions on the corporate market. It should be noted that Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.5 for Check Point VPN-1 provides antivirus scanning not only of web traffic, but of mail traffic as well. Integration with Check Point VPN-1 and thorough optimization of the product confirmed by the OPSEC certificate will enable us to offer our solution to a broad range of corporate customers.”

"We are pleased to see Kaspersky Lab has achieved the OPSEC certification," said Amir Ben-Efraim, head of business development at Check Point Software Technologies. “Content Security Solutions play a major role in identifying security breaches, and protecting our joint customers’ valuable assets”
