Kaspersky Anti-Virus Wins Windows News Magazine's Comparison Test - Once Again
The French edition of the popular Windows News magazine, published its traditional test of leading anti-virus programs, with Kaspersky Anti-Virusbeing named best anti-virus solution.
The test, conducted by the magazine's editorial staff, invited the manufacturers of the five most popular anti-virus solutions in France: Symantec, McAfee, Trend Micro, Computer Associates and Kaspersky Lab.
The tests evaluated the ability of the software to detect different types of malicious programs, the effectiveness of fundamental and add-on modules, as well as interface usability.
Kaspersky Lab' offering turned out to be the only one to achieve 100% detection of all types of malicious programs and received the highest rating, "Kaspersky Anti-virus has always been the best at detecting viruses, whether it is a malicious program residing in computer memory or a virus hiding in archived files. Its ability to recognize viruses is simply unrivaled", summarized the Windows News editorial staff.
Among other advantages noted were the Kaspersky Anti-Virus individual program modules: Script Checker, the versatile script virus interceptor and Office Guard, a module guaranteeing 100% protection against macro viruses.
