Kaspersky Lab announces that Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 was named 'Product of the Year 2009/2010' by readers of the German computer journal PC Magazin.
More than 40,000 readers took part in an online poll to select their favourite IT solutions in 23 hardware and software categories, the nominated products having been pre-selected by a panel of experts. This is the twenty-third such event to be held by PC Magazin and the fourth time in a row that the readers of PC Magazin have voted Kaspersky Internet Security the best security software available.
"It is a very big honour for us to win the 'Product of the Year' award again, especially as it was the readers that chose Kaspersky Lab's solution. This result confirms that the enormous effort that goes into developing reliable and user-friendly security software is worthwhile – and that encourages us to do even better in the future", said Ralf Tegethoff, Kaspersky Lab's Regional Director for Consumer Sales, Europe.
