Kaspersky Lab announces that its Internet Security solution has received the “Product of the Year” award from Romanian magazine Chip IT
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that its Internet Security solution has received the “Product of the Year” award from Romanian magazine Chip IT.
Kaspersky Internet Security was voted the “Product of the Year” by CHIP IT magazine’s readers. The award, in its ninth year, is part of one of the most prestigious IT events in Romania.
Kaspersky Internet Security was voted the best solution in the software category, with a higher score than competitors such as McAfee, Norton, Panda, F-Secure and even surpassing BitDefender – a Romanian solution.
“Kaspersky Internet Security is a product that we are really proud of, because we know it includes technologies that cannot be found in other competitor products. The vote by CHIP readers also confirms their efficiency,” said Teodor Cimpoesu, head of the regional office Kaspersky Lab Romania. “Kaspersky Lab reinvests 30 per cent of its annual sales revenue in research, a strategy that has permitted powerful technologies to be developed in the fight against cybercrime,” Cimpoesu added.
Unlike numerous other IT competitions, the CHIP magazine awards are decided by the readers with journalists having no influence on the final results. These impartial conditions are highly appreciated on the IT market and the “CHIP – Product of the Year” awards are seen as representing the users’ products of choice.
“This is an excellent result for us, even more so because we were chosen by more readers than the local Romanian security product, BitDefender, which is well known and has a better market share and is traditionally more popular amongst Romanian users,” says Cimpoesu.
