Kaspersky® Anti-Virus Personal Pro wins award from Russian computer-magazine "PL: Kompyutery"
In its September edition, popular Russian magazine "PL: Kompyutery" published the test results for eight of the world's most popular anti-virus programs. Kaspersky® Anti-Virus Personal Pro again confirmed its position as one of the most reliable anti-viruses by winning the "Editors Choice" award.
Along with Kaspersky® Anti-Virus Personal Pro, products from the following companies were also tested: Symantec, McAfee, Computer Associates, Panda Software, Norman, AntiVir and DialogScience.
The main criterion to selection the best anti-virus was the optimal set of functions, the amount of system resources used by the application, the run speed, the virus detection level and the efficiency of the update system.
According to the final test results Kaspersky® Anti-Virus, named by the authors as "the most innovative article of Russian export" proved to be the best solution, combining one of the highest antivirus security level for the computer with high-speed scanning and an easy to use anti-virus data base update utility. Among the features of Kaspersky® Anti-Virus that "PL: Kompyutery" noted were, the controlling functions against Scrip-Programs (Script Checker) and the embedded integrity checker Inspector, which allows users to control processes on their computers and, if necessary, to regenerate the original file contents.
Kaspersky® Anti-Virus Personal Pro gained the "Editors' Choice" award.
