Kaspersky Lab's newest security suite, Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0, has won the PC Magazine/RE Best 2006 Soft award
PC Magazine/Russian Edition, a leading computing magazine for Russian IT specialists, has announced the results of its Russian Software: The Crop of 2006 survey. The awards were presented at the ISDEF 2006 (“Independent Software Developers Forum”). The survey was prepared as part of an annual project by PC Magazine/RE, Russia: Best of the Best, which is devoted to software developed by Russian and Russian-speaking programmers. The magazine lists 44 software products divided into 11 categories as the most interesting systems in 2006. The laureates are awarded the PC Magazine/RE. Best Soft 2006 logo.
In selecting the laureates, the editors of the magazine used such criteria as technical excellence, the demand for the product in the marketplace and the importance of issues addressed by each solution. Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0, the new integrated solution from Kaspersky Lab, was among the winners in the Antivirus Software category.
